The Department of Defense announced today the death of two Marines who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

1^st Lt. Oscar Jimenez, 34, of San Diego, Calif., died April 11 due to enemy fire in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to 3^rd Battalion, 4^th Marine Regiment, 1^st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, at Twentynine Palms, Calif.

Pfc. George D. Torres, 23, of Long Beach, Calif., died April 11 due to enemy fire in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to 1^st Battalion, 5^th Marine Regiment, 1^st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
