DoD Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Pfc. Martin W. Kondor, 20, of York, Penn., died April 29, in Baqubah, Iraq when an apparent improvised explosive device exploded near his vehicle. Pfc. Kondor was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 63rd Armor Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, Vilseck, Germany.

The incident is under investigation.
