officers:
Brigadier General Marvin K. McNamara, Commanding General, United States Army
Developmental Test Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland to Deputy Director for Force Structure, Integration, and Deployment, Missile Defense Agency, Arlington, Virginia.
Brigadier General Richard J. Rowe, Jr., Assistant Division Commander (Operations), 82d Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina to Director of Operations, J-3, United States Northern Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado.
Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Vern Clark announced the following flag officer assignments:
Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) Robert T. Moeller is being assigned as director, Plans and Policy, J5, U.S. Central Command, MacDill AFB, Fla. Moeller is currently assigned as commander, Cruiser Destroyer Group One, San Diego, Calif.
Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) James W. Stevenson, Jr., is being assigned as commander, Cruiser Destroyer Group Eight, Norfolk, Va. Stevenson is currently assigned as director, Current Operations and Politico-Military Affairs, N31/N52, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C.
