General Officer Assignment
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the president has nominated:
Lieutenant General Bantz J. Craddock, United States Army, for appointment to the rank of general and assignment as Commander, United States Southern Command, Miami, Florida. He is currently serving as Senior Military Assistant to the Secretary of Defense, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Washington, DC.
