Flag Officer Assignments

Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Vern Clark announced the following flag officer assignments:

Navy Rear Adm. James B. Godwin III is being assigned as director, Navy and Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), Arlington, Va. Godwin is currently assigned as program executive officer for Tactical Aircraft Programs, Patuxent River, Md.

Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) Robert D. Hufstader, Jr. is being assigned as command surgeon, U.S. Pacific Command, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Hufstader is currently assigned as medical officer to the Marine Corps, Washington, D.C.

Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) David J. Venlet is being assigned as program executive officer for Tactical Aircraft Programs, Patuxent River, Md. Venlet is currently assigned as commander, Naval Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, Calif.

Navy Rear Adm. (lower half)(selectee) Thomas R. Cullison is being assigned as medical officer to the Marine Corps, Washington, D.C. Cullison is currently assigned as command surgeon, U.S. Pacific Command, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) Donna L. Crisp is being assigned as director for Manpower and Personnel Readiness, J-1, Joint Staff, Washington, DC. Crisp is currently assigned as commander, Task Force Warrior, Norfolk, Va.

Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) Michael A. Lefever is being assigned as commander, Expeditionary Strike Group ONE, San Diego, Calif. Lefever is currently assigned as deputy director, Expeditionary Warfare, N75B, office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Arlington, Va.

Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) Wayne G. Shear is being assigned as deputy director, Ashore Readiness Division, N46A, office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, DC. Shear is currently assigned as deputy commander, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Washington, D.C.
