The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Spc. Marco D. Ross, 20, of Memphis, Tenn., died August 25 in Baghdad, Iraq, when his camp was attacked by individuals using mortars. Ross was assigned to the 115th Forward Support Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
The incident is under investigation.
