GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that the President has
nominated Lieutenant General John G. Coburn, United States Army, for
reappointment to the grade of lieutenant general and assignment as Deputy Chief
of Staff for Logistics, United States Army, Washington, DC. Since July 1994,
he has served as the Deputy Commanding General, United States Army Materiel
Command, Alexandria, Virginia.
Lieutenant General Coburn was born on October 9, 1941, in Corretta, West
Virginia.
