The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Lance Cpl. Mathew D. Puckett, 19, of Mason, Texas, died Sept. 13 due to enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. Puckett was assigned to 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
