Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Vern Clark announced the following flag officer assignments:
Navy Rear Adm. (selectee) John M. Mateczun is being assigned as deputy chief, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, Washington, D.C. Mateczun is currently assigned as commander, Naval Medical Center, San Diego, Calif.
Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) Brian G. Brannman is being assigned as commander, Naval Medical Center, San Diego, Calif. Brannman is currently assigned as director of the Medical Service Corps/deputy chief, Fleet Operations Support, M3F, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, Washington, D.C.
