The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sgt. Michael L. Boatright, 24, of Whitesboro, Texas died Dec. 4 in Baghdad, Iraq, when he was struck by an improvised explosive device.Boatright was assigned to the 20th Engineer Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
