Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated Navy Adm. William J. Fallon, U.S. Navy, for reappointment to the rank of admiral and assignment as Commander, U.S. Pacific Command, Honolulu, Hawaii. Fallon is currently serving as Commander, U.S. Atlantic Fleet and Commander, Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk, Va.
