The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Spc. Lyle W. Rymer II, 24, of Fort Smith, Ark., died Jan. 28 in Baghdad, Iraq, when he was shot by enemy forces. Rymer was assigned to the Army National Guard's 239th Engineer Company, 39th Infantry Brigade, Booneville, Ark.
