The Department of Defense announced today the winners of the 2004 Reserve Family Readiness Awards, who will be honored at a ceremony on Feb. 18 at 10:00 a.m. ESTin the Pentagon Hall of Heroes.

The winning units are:

•  Company A, 1-168^th Infantry (Air Assault), Iowa Army National Guard, Carroll, Iowa
•  652^nd Engineer Company, United States Army Reserve, Ellsworth, Wisc.
•  Navy Cargo Handling Battalion Seven, United States Naval Reserve, Great Lakes, Ill.
•  1^st Battalion, 23^rd Marines, 4^th Marine Division, United States Marine Corps Reserve, Houston, Texas 
• 172^nd Airlift Wing, Mississippi Air National Guard, Jackson, Miss.
•  452^nd Mission Support Group, United States Air Force Reserve, March Air Reserve Base, Calif. 
• Port Security Unit 307, United States Coast Guard Reserve, St. Petersburg, Fla.

The ceremony will be hosted by Thomas F. Hall, the assistant secretary of defense for reserve affairs.
