General Officer Announcements

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has made the following nominations:

 

Army Lt. Gen. William S. Wallace, has been nominated to the rank of general and assignment as commanding general, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, Fort Monroe, Va. Wallace is currently serving as the commanding general, U.S. Army Combined Arms Center and Fort Leavenworth, Fort Leavenworth, Kan.

 

Army Maj. Gen. Dell L. Dailey has been nominated to the rank of lieutenant general and assignment as director, Center for Special Operations, U.S. Special Operations Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. Dailey is currently serving as the director, Center for Operations, Plans and Policy, U.S. Special Operations Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Fla.

 

Air Force Col. Salvatore A. Angelella has been nominated to the rank of brigadier general while serving as the executive officer to the Supreme Allied Commander Europe, Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, Casteau, Belgium.

 

Air Force Col. Andrew E. Busch has been nominated to the rank of brigadier general while serving as the deputy director for logistics, Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

 

Air Force Col. Arthur B. Cameron III has been nominated to the rank of brigadier general while serving as the associate director of resources, Deputy Chief of Staff, Installations and Logistics, Headquarters United States Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

 

Air Force Col. Susan Y. Desjardins has been nominated to the rank of brigadier general while serving as the commander, 437th Airlift Wing, Air Mobility Command, Charleston Air Force

 

Air Force Col. Richard T. Devereaux has been nominated to the rank of brigadier general while serving as the commander, 100th Air Refueling Wing, United States Air Forces in Europe, Royal Air Force Mildenhall, United Kingdom.

 

Air Force Col. Judith A. Fedder has been nominated to the rank of brigadier general while serving as the executive officer to the Air Force Chief of Staff, Headquarters United States Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

 

Air Force Col. Eric E. Fiel has been nominated to the rank of brigadier general while serving as the commander, 58th Special Operations Wing, Air Education and Training Command, Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M.

 

Air Force Col. Jonathan D. George has been nominated to the rank of brigadier general while serving as the deputy director, Plans and Programs, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Langley Air Force Base, Va.

 

Air Force Col. Mark W. Graper has been nominated to the rank of brigadier general while serving as the deputy assistant chief of staff, Operations, Combined Forces Command/United States Forces Korea, Yong San, South Korea.

 

Air Force Col. Bradley A. Heithold has been nominated to the rank of brigadier general while serving as the commander, 347th Rescue Wing, Air Force Special Operations Command, Moody Air Force Base, Ga.

 

Air Force Col. Susan J. Helms has been nominated to the rank of brigadier general while serving as the deputy director, Operations for Technical Training, Headquarters Air Education and Training Command, Randolph Air Force Base, Tex.

 

Air Force Col. Peter F. Hoene has been nominated to the rank of brigadier general while serving as the director of staff, Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

 

Air Force Col. Darrell D. Jones has been nominated to the rank of brigadier general while serving as the director, Manpower and Personnel, Headquarters United States Central Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Fla.

Air Force Col. Robert C. Kane has been nominated to the rank of brigadier general while serving as the commander, 86th Airlift Wing, United States Air Forces in Europe, Ramstein Air Base, Germany.

 

Air Force Col. Stanley T. Kresge has been nominated to the rank of brigadier general while serving as the deputy director of requirements, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Langley Air Force Base, Va.

 

Air Force Col. Michael A. Longoria has been nominated to the rank of brigadier general while serving as the director of Joint Air Ground Operations, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Langley Air Force Base, Va.

 

Air Force Col. Charles W. Lyon has been nominated to the rank of brigadier general while serving as the commander, 388th Fighter Wing, Air Combat Command, Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho.

 

Air Force Col. Otis G. Mannon has been nominated to the rank of brigadier general while serving as the commander, 16th Special Operations Wing, Air Force Special Operations Command, Hurlburt Field, Fla.

 

Air Force Col. Susan K. Mashiko has been nominated to the rank of brigadier general while serving as the deputy system program director, National Polar-orbiting Environmental Satellite System, Silver Spring, Maryland.

 

Air Force Col. Darren W. McDew has been nominated to the rank of brigadier general while serving as the commander, 43rd Airlift Wing, Air Mobility Command, Pope Air Force Base, N.C.

 

Air Force Col. Clyde D. Moore II has been nominated to the rank of brigadier general while serving as the deputy director, Global Power, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force (Acquisition), Headquarters United States Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

 

Air Force Col. Douglas H. Owens has been nominated to the rank of brigadier general while serving as the assistant deputy director, Air and Space Operations, Headquarters Pacific Air Forces, Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.
