GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
The Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that the Presidenthas nominated Lt. Gen. Daniel W. Christman, United States Army, for assignmentas superintendent, United States Military Academy, West Point, N.Y.
SinceOctober 1994, he has been serving as the assistant to the Chairman, The JointStaff, Washington, DC.
Christman was born on May 5, 1943, in Youngstown, Ohio.
