General Officer Announcements

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has made the following nominations:

 

Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Rita M. Broadway has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Broadway is currently serving as deputy commander, 89th Regional Readiness Command, Wichita, Kan.

 

Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Bruce A. Casella has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Casella is currently serving as deputy commander, 311th Corps Support Command, Los Angeles, Calif.

 

Army Reserve Brig. Gen. David L. Evans has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Evans is currently serving as assistant division commander (Troop Program Unit), 100th Division (Institutional Training), Louisville, Ky.

 

Army Reserve Brig. Gen. William H. Johnson has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Johnson is currently serving as director of movement and distribution management, Coalition Forces Land Component Command, Camp Doha, Kuwait.

 

Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Larry Knightner has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Knightner is currently serving as commander, 81st Regional Readiness Command, Fort Jackson, S.C.

 

Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Dennis E. Lutz has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Lutz is currently serving as commander, 359th Signal Brigade, Fort Gordon, Ga.

 

Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Robert A. Pollmann has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Pollmann is currently serving as commander, 420th Engineer Brigade, Bryan, Texas.

 

Army Reserve Brig. Gen. William Terpeluk has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Terpeluk is currently serving as deputy commander, 77th Regional Readiness Command, Fort Totten, N.Y.

 

Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Bruce E. Zukauskas has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Zukauskas is currently serving as deputy commander, 94th Regional Readiness Command, Ayer, Mass.

 

Army Reserve Col. Lie-Ping Chang has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Chang is currently serving as command surgeon, 99th Regional Readiness Command, Coraopolis, Pa.

 

Army Reserve Col. Paul E. Crandall has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Crandall is currently serving as chief of staff, 416th Engineer Command, Darien, Ill.

 

Army Reserve Col. Stuart M. Dyer has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Dyer is currently serving as commander (Troop Program Unit), 9th Brigade, 108th Division (Institutional Training), Charlotte, N.C.

 

Army Reserve Col. Geoffrey A. Freeman has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Freeman is currently serving as deputy chief of staff, G-3, 311th Theater Signal Command, Fort Meade, Md.

 

Army Reserve Col. William D. Frink, Jr. has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Frink is currently serving as deputy chief of staff, G-2/3, 81st Regional Readiness Command, Birmingham, Ala.

 

Army Reserve Col. William H. Gerety has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Gerety is currently serving as chief of staff (Troop Program Unit), 98th Division (Institutional Training), Rochester, N.Y.

 

Army Reserve Col. George R. Harris has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Harris is currently serving as commander, 326th Area Support Group, Kansas City, Kan.

 

Army Reserve Col. Jeffrey A. Jacobs has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Jacobs is currently serving as commander, 354th Civil Affairs Brigade, Riverdale Park, Md.

 

Army Reserve Col. Dempsey D. Kee has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Kee is currently serving as joint and army team leader, Defense Distribution Center, J-3/4, Defense Logistics Agency, New Cumberland, Pa.

 

Army Reserve Chaplain (Col.) Douglas E. Lee has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Lee is currently as serving as reserve affairs officer, Chief of Chaplains, Arlington, Va.

 

Army Reserve Col. Charles D. Luckey has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Luckey is currently serving as commander (Troop Program Unit), 1st Brigade, 108th Division (Institutional Training), Spartanburg, S.C.

 

Army Reserve Col. Bert K. Mizusawa has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Mizusawa is currently serving as chief of staff, U.S. Army Reserve Readiness Command, Fort Jackson, S.C.

 

Army Reserve Col. Eldon P. Regua has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Regua is currently serving as chief of staff (Troop Program Unit) 104th Division (Institutional Training), Vancouver, Wash.

 

Army Reserve Col. Steven W. Smith has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Smith is currently serving as chief of staff, 81st Regional Readiness Command, Birmingham, Ala.

 

Army Reserve Col. Richard A. Stone has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Stone is currently serving as commander, 452d Combat Support Hospital, Milwaukee, Wis.

 

Army Reserve Col. Robin B. Umberg has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Umberg is currently serving as commander, 4211th U.S. Army Hospital, San Diego, Calif.

 

Army Reserve Col. Margaret C. Wilmoth has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Wilmoth is currently serving as acting commander, 332d Medical Brigade Nashville, Tenn.
