The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sgt.1st ClassVirgil R. Case, 37, of Mountain Home, Idaho, died June 1 in Kirkuk, Iraq, from non-combat related injuries. Case was assigned to the Army National Guard's 145th Support Battalion, 116th Brigade Combat Team, Mountain Home, Idaho.
