FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that thePresident has nominated Rear Admiral Daniel T. Oliver, U.S. Navy, forappointment to the grade of vice admiral and assignment as Deputy Chief ofNaval Operations (Manpower and Personnel), N1, Office of the Chief of NavalOperations and Chief of Naval Personnel in Arlington, Virginia.
Rear AdmiralOliver is currently service as Director Programming Division, N80, Office ofthe Chief of Naval Operations in the Pentagon.
Rear Admiral Oliver was born April 22, 1945 in Camden, SouthCarolina.
