FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that thePresident has nominated Rear Admiral Thomas B. Fargo, U.S. Navy, forappointment to the grade of vice admiral and assignment as Commander, U.S.Naval Forces, Central Command and Commander FIFTH Fleet in Bahrain.
RearAdmiral Fargo is currently serving as Director, Assessment Division, N81,Office of the Chief of Naval Operations in the Pentagon.
Rear Admiral Fargo was born June 13, 1948 in San Diego, California.
