FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that
the President has nominated Vice Admiral Frank L. Bowman, U.S.
Navy, for appointment to the grade of admiral and assignment as
Director, Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program, Department of the
Navy/Department of Energy in Arlington, Virginia. Vice Admiral
Bowman is currently serving as Deputy Chief of Naval Operations
(Manpower and Personnel), N1, Office of the Chief of Naval
Operations and Chief of Naval Personnel in Arlington, Virginia.
Vice Admiral Bowman was born December 19, 1944 in
Chattanooga, Tennessee.
