General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated Marine Corps Maj. Gen. John F. Goodman for appointment to therank of lieutenant general and assignment as the commander, United States Marine Corps Forces Pacific; commanding general, Fleet Marine Forces Pacific; and commander, Marine Corps Bases Pacific. Goodman is currently serving as the deputy commander, United States Marine Corps Forces Pacific, Camp Smith, Hawaii. |
