FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that the President
has nominated Vice Admiral J. Paul Reason,
U.S. Navy, for appointment to the grade of admiral and assignment
as Commander in Chief, U.S. Atlantic Fleet in Norfolk, Virginia.
Vice Admiral Reason is currently serving as Deputy Chief of Naval
Operations for Plans, Policy and Operations, N3/N5, Office of the
Chief of Naval Operations in the Pentagon.
Vice Admiral Reason was born March 22, 1941, in Washington, D.C.
