Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the president has made the following nominations:
Army Brig. Gen. James P. Eggleton for appointment to the rank of major general. Eggleton is currently serving as commander, 87th Division (Training Support), Birmingham, Ala.
Army Col. Blake E. Williams for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Williams is currently serving as commander, 1st Brigade/assistant division commander, 87th Division (Training Support), Birmingham, Ala.
