General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated Air Force Lt. Gen. Daniel P. Leaf, for reappointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as deputy commander, U.S. Pacific Command, Camp H. M. Smith, Hawaii. Leaf is currently serving as vice commander, Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo.
