DoD Identifies Army Casualties

The Department of Defense announced today the death of four soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died of injuries sustained in Taji, Iraq, on Nov. 15, when an improvised explosive device detonated near their HMMWV during combat operations. The soldiers were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Ky.

Killed were:

Staff Sgt. James E. Estep, 26, of Leesburg, Fla., in Taji, Iraq, on Nov. 15.

Spc. Matthew J. Holley, 21, of San Diego, Calif., in Taji, Iraq, on Nov. 15.

Spc. Alexis Roman-Cruz, 33, of Brandon, Fla., in Balad, Iraq, on Nov. 16.

Pfc. Travis J. Grigg, 24, of Inola, Okla., in Taji, Iraq, on Nov. 15.
