General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated Marine Corps Reserve Brig. Gen. James L. Williams for appointment to the grade of major general. Williams is currently serving as the assistant division commander, 2d Marine Division, in Iraq.
