GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that
Lt. Gen. Paul E. Blackwell, United States Army, will be placed on
the retired list in his current grade. Blackwell will retire
after completion of more than 31 years of service. Since July
1994, he has been serving as the deputy chief of staff for
Operations and Plans, United States Army, Washington, DC.
Blackwell was born on August 19, 1941, in York, S.C.
