GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that the President has nominated Lt. Gen. Marc A. Cisneros, United
States Army, to be placed on the retired list in his current
grade. Cisneros will retire after completion of more than 35
years of service. Since 25 February 1994, he has been serving as
the commanding general, Fifth United States Army, Fort Sam
Houston, Texas.
Cisneros was born on April 5, 1939, in Brownsville, Texas.
