General Officer Announcements

            Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President made the following nominations:

 

            Marine Corps Col. Ronald L. Bailey has been nominated for appointment to the grade of brigadier general.  Bailey is currently serving as the director, Expeditionary Warfare School, Quantico, Va.

 

            Marine Corps Col. Michael M. Brogan has been nominated for appointment to the grade of brigadier general.  Brogan is currently serving as the direct reporting program manager for Advanced Amphibious Assault, Woodbridge, Va.

 

            Marine Corps Col. Jon M. Davis has been nominated for appointment to the grade of brigadier general.  Davis is currently serving as the commanding officer, Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron 1, Yuma, Ariz.

 

            Marine Corps Col. Timothy C. Hanifen has been nominated for appointment to the grade of brigadier general.  Hanifen is currently serving as the deputy director, Capabilities Development Directorate, Marine Corps Combat Development Command, Quantico, Va.

 

            Marine Corps Col. James A. Kessler has been nominated for appointment to the grade of brigadier general.  Kessler is currently serving as the executive assistant to the Deputy Commandant for Installations and Logistics, Headquarters, United States Marine Corps, Washington, D.C.

 

            Marine Corps Col. James B. Laster has been nominated for appointment to the grade of brigadier general.  Laster is currently serving as the chief of staff, Training and Education Command, Quantico, Va.

 

            Marine Corps Col. Angela Salinas, has been nominated for appointment to the grade of brigadier general.  Salinas is currently serving as the chief of staff, Marine Corps Recruiting Command, Quantico, Va.

 

            Marine Corps Col. Peter J. Talleri has been nominated for appointment to the grade of brigadier general.  Talleri is currently serving as the assistant chief of staff, G-4, U. S. Marine Corps Forces Central Command, Tampa, Fla.

 

            Marine Corps Col. John A. Toolan, Jr., has been nominated for appointment to the grade of brigadier general.  Toolan is currently serving as the director, Marine Corps Command and Staff College, Quantico, Va.

 

            Marine Corps Col. Robert S. Walsh has been nominated for appointment to the grade of brigadier general.  Walsh is currently serving as the commanding officer, Marine Aircraft Group 31, Beaufort, N.C.

 

            Marine Corps Reserve Col. Tracy L. Mork has been nominated for appointment to the grade of brigadier general.  Mork is currently serving as the deputy commander, 4th Force Marine Logistics Group, New Orleans, La.
