Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has made the following nominations:
Air Force Lt. Gen. David A. Deptula has been nominated for reappointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as deputy chief of staff, Intelligence, Headquarters United States Air Force, Washington, D.C. Deptula is currently serving as vice commander, Pacific Air Forces, Hickam AFB, Hawaii.
Air Force Lt. Gen. Victor E. Renuart, Jr., has been nominated for reappointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as senior military assistant to the Secretary of Defense, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Renuart is currently serving as director, Strategic Plans and Policy, J-5, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
