GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that
the President has nominated Maj. Gen. Frederick E. Vollrath,
United States Army, for appointment to the grade of lieutenant
general and assignment as deputy chief of staff for Personnel,
United States Army, Washington, D.C.
Since Oct 1995, he has
served as the assistant deputy chief of staff for Personnel,
United States Army, Washington, D.C.
Vollrath was born on July 16, 1940, in Miami Beach, Fla.
