Resident Bob Goss, 80, sits in front of the of the Soldiers' and Airmen's Home's oldest dormitory the Sherman Building, built in 1851. Goss not only fought throughout Europe, including the Battle of the Bulge, but was with the first American unit to free Nordhausen Concentration Camp at the end of World War II.
