Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta travels to New York City where he will be the recipient of the Intrepid Freedom Award.  The presentation is scheduled to take place at the "Salute to Freedom Dinner" which will be held aboard the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum. 

Deputy Secretary of Defense Ashton B. Carter has no public or media events on his schedule. 

Chief of Staff of the Army Gen. Raymond T. Odierno will deliver remarks at the 24th Annual General Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award Ceremony at 6 p.m. EDT in the Pentagon Auditorium (BH650). Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the River Entrance only.  Plan to arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.  Please call 703-693-4961 for escort into the building.
