 Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta hosts an honor cordon to welcome Saudi Arabia's Minister of Defense Prince Salman bin Abd al-Aziz Al Saud to the Pentagon today at 10:15 a.m. EDT. The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance.  Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the Pentagon River Parking Entrance only.  Plan to arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.  Please call 703-697-5131 for escort to the cordon.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Ashton B. Carter has no public or media events on his schedule.

Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin E. Dempsey delivers remarks at the Joining Forces Anniversary Celebration, attended by Chief Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert and Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Community and Family Policy Robert L. Gordon III., at 11 a.m. EDT at The White House, Washington, D.C.

Capt. Barry F. Vice Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. James A. Winnefeld Jr., Commandant of the Marine Corps Gen. James F. Amos will deliver remarks and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert will serve as the presiding officer and keynote speaker at the National Defense University change of presidency/office ceremony at 3 p.m. at the National Defense University, Washington, D.C. 

North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and its geographical component, the Continental United States NORAD Region (CONR), will conduct an exercise -- Falcon Virgo 12-07 beginning Wednesday night, April 11, at midnight into early Thursday morning, April 12, in the National Capital Region, Washington, D.C.
