Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta hosts an honor cordon to welcome Finland's Minister of Defense Stefan Wallin to the Pentagon at 10:45 a.m. EDT.  The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance.  Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the Pentagon River Parking Entrance only.  Plan to arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.  Please call 703-697-5131 for escort to the cordon.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Martin Dempsey attends an arrival honor cordon at 11:30 a.m. EDT in honor of Gen. Necdet Ozel, chief of the Turkish General Staff (photo only).  The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance.  Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the Pentagon River Parking Entrance only.  Plan to arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.  Please call 703-697-4272 for escort to the cordon. 

Military Service Vice Chiefs; Army Gen. Lloyd Austin III, Air Force Gen. Phil Breedlove, Navy Adm. Mark Ferguson and Marine Corps Gen. Joseph Dunford Jr., appear at 10 a.m. EDT before the Senate Armed Services Committee Sub-committee on Readiness & Management Support to discuss current readiness of U.S. forces in review of the Defense Authorization Request for Fiscal Year 2013 and the Future Years Defense Program.  The hearing is scheduled in Room SR-232A, Russell Senate Office Building, Washington D.C.
