Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen speaks today at the University of Maine and the William S. Cohen Middle School in Bangor, Maine. See the press advisory for details.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Rudy de Leon departs today to visit troops in Italy and Kosovo. See the press advisory for details.

Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness Bernard Rostker will conduct a news briefing in the Pentagon today at 10:30 a.m. on the use and effects of pesticides used during the Gulf War. See the press advisory for details.

The next regular DoD news briefing will be on Tuesday, Jan. 16, at 1:30 p.m., in the DoD briefing studio, Pentagon room 2E781. The briefer will be Kenneth H. Bacon, assistant secretary of Defense for Public Affairs.
