Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates is traveling.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England has no public or media events on his schedule.

U.K. Army Lt. Gen. Graeme Lamb, deputy commander of Multi-National Force-Iraq and senior British representative in Iraq, will brief live from Iraq at 9 a.m. EST, Jan. 19, in the DoD Briefing Studio, Pentagon 2E579, with an update on operations in Iraq.  Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the North Parking Entrance only.   Plan to arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.   Please call (703) 697-5131 for escort into the building.
