Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld and Deputy Secretary of Defense Rudy de Leon are in Washington. There are no public or media events on their schedules.

The next regular DoD news briefing is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 25 at 1:30 p.m., in the DoD briefing studio, Pentagon room 2E781. The briefer will be Rear Adm. Craig R. Quigley, deputy assistant secretary of Defense for public affairs.

The Defense Personnel Recovery Conference ends today in Arlington, Va. The theme is Personnel Recovery in the New Millennium. See the conference web site for details.
