Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld and Deputy Secretary of Defense Rudy de Leon are in Washington today. There are no public or media events on their schedules.

The regular DoD news briefing will be conducted today at 1:30 p.m., in the DoD briefing studio, Pentagon room 2E781. The briefer will be Rear Adm. Craig R. Quigley, deputy assistant secretary of Defense for public affairs.

The Army Worldwide Public Affairs Symposium continues through Feb. 2 in Washington, DC. See the conference web page for details. [link no longer available]

A Senior Leader Seminar (SLS) hosted by the Africa Center for Strategic Studies (ACSS) continues through Feb. 9 in Libreville, Gabon. See the news release for details.
