Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, CJCS Gen. Martin Dempsey and Army Chief of Staff Gen. Ray Odierno will make remarks at the retirement ceremony in honor of Army Vice Chief of Staff Gen. Peter Chiarelli at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall at 10 a.m. EST. 

Deputy Secretary of Defense Ashton B. Carter has no public or media events on his schedule. 

Director, Defense Intelligence Agency Lt. Gen. Ronald L. Burgess Jr., testifies at a hearing of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence on world threats at 10 a.m. EST in room 216, Hart Senate Office Building.
