Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates will host an Armed Forces Full Honor Review in honor of Marine Gen. Peter Pace, 16th chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Navy Adm. Michael Mullen, 17th chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.  The event will take place 11 a.m. EDT at Summerall Field, Fort Myer, Va.  In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be conducted inside Fort Myer’s Conmy Hall.  See Military District of Washington media advisory for details.
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates hosts an honor cordon to welcome Iraqi President Jalal Talabani to the Pentagon today at 1:45 p.m. EDT. The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon Mall Entrance. Media must be at the Pentagon North Parking Entrance no later than 1:15 p.m. EDT for escort to the cordon
