DoD Identifies Army Casualty The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier, who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Staff Sgt. Jerry L. Bonifacio Jr., 28, of Vacaville, Calif., died in Baghdad, Iraq, on Oct. 10, when a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated near his checkpoint....
