Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates honor cordon to welcome Colombian Minister of Defense Gabriel Silva to the Pentagon today at 10 a.m. EDT.  The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance.  Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the Pentagon River Parking Entrance only.  Plan to arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.  Please call (703) 697-5131 for escort to the cordon. 

Secretary Gates and Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric K. Shinseki will host the DoD/VA Mental Health Summit to discuss a public health model for enhanced mental health care for returning service members, veterans and their families at the Capital Hilton, 1001 16th St., N.W., Washington, D.C., on Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. EDT.  See press advisory for details.
