Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld hosts an honor cordon to welcome Armenian Minister of Defense Serzh Sargsyan to the Pentagon at 11 a.m. EDT. The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance. Media must be at the Pentagon North Parking Entrance no later than 10:30 a.m. EDT for escort to the cordon.

Acting Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England has no public or media events on his schedule.

Army Maj. Gen. Joseph J. Taluto, commander of Multinational Division North-Central, commander of Task Force Liberty, and commander of the U.S. 42nd Infantry Division, will brief live from Iraq at 9 a.m. EDT, Oct. 28, in the DoD Briefing Studio, Pentagon 2E579, to provide an update of ongoing security operations in north-central Iraq.
