Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld is traveling.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz hosts an honor cordon to welcome the United Kingdom's Secretary of State for Foreign & Commonwealth Affairs Jack Straw to the Pentagon at 2:15 p.m. EST. The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance. Media must be at the Pentagon North Parking Entrance no later than 1:45 p.m. EST for escort to the cordon.

Gen. John Abizaid, commander, Central Command briefs from Tampa, Fla., the breifing can be viewed in the DoD Briefing Room, Pentagon 2E781 at 11 a.m. EST. Media may participate in the question and answer portion of the briefing. Media representatives who do not have a Pentagon building pass and wish to cover this event should arrive at the Pentagon's North Parking Entrance at 10:30 a.m. for an escort. Media without a Pentagon building pass must have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.

Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, Douglas Feith, will address the Council on Foreign Relations at 6:30 p.m. at 1779 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Washington, D.C. Media interested in attending should contact Marieke Beeuwkes at 212-434-9716.
