Today in the Department of Defense, Nov. 18-20, 2000

Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen and Deputy Secretary of Defense Rudy de Leon are traveling.

More than 200 national and international leaders will gather Saturday in Norfolk, Va., to discuss "The European Union and NATO: Rivals or Partners?" at a symposium co-hosted by Old Dominion University and Supreme Allied Commander, Atlantic. The next regular DoD news briefing is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 1:30 p.m., in the DoD briefing studio, room 2E781. The briefer will be Kenneth H. Bacon, assistant secretary of Defense for Public Affairs.

The Combined Federal Campaign is now in progress throughout the Department of Defense.

The department's Legislative Affairs Office maintains a separate Congressional Schedule of Events.
