Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen and Deputy Secretary of Defense Rudy de Leon are in Washington. There are no public or media events on their schedules.

A DoD news briefing will be conducted today at 1:30 p.m. in the DoD briefing studio, room 2E781. The briefer will be Kenneth H. Bacon, assistant secretary of Defense for Public Affairs.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly renovated Pentagon Tour Theater will be conducted tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. See advisory for details.

The annual DoD Small Business Training Conference continues through tomorrow in San Diego, Calif.

The Combined Federal Campaign is now in progress throughout the Department of Defense.

The department's Legislative Affairs Office maintains a separate Congressional Schedule of Events.
