Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates and Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England have no public or media events on their schedules.

Rear Adm. Carol M. Pottenger, commander, task force 76 and Col. Douglas Stilwell, commanding officer, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, along with Cmdr. Mohammad Fazale Rabbi, Bangladeshi liaison officer, will brief live via video teleconference from the USS Kearsarge today off the coast of Bangladesh at 10:30 a.m. EST, in the DoD Briefing Room, Pentagon 2E579, to provide an update on DoD humanitarian relief efforts in support of Bangladesh.  Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the North Parking Entrance only. Plan to arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification. Please call (703) 697-5131 for escort into the building.

U.S. Army Col. Edward B. Daly, commander, 209th Afghan Regional Security Integration Command-North, and Maj. Gen. Murad Ali, Commander, 209th Corps, Afghan National Army, will brief live from Afghanistan at 9 a.m. EST, Nov. 30, in the DoD Briefing Room, Pentagon 2E579, to provide an update on training of the ANA and recent operations against the Taliban in the Mazar-E-Sharif area of northern Afghanistan.  Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the North Parking Entrance only.  Plan to arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.  Please call (703) 697-5131 for escort into the building.
