Today in the Department of Defense, Nov. 4-6, 2000

Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen and Deputy Secretary of Defense Rudy de Leon are in Washington through the weekend. There are no public or media events on their schedules.

The Marine Corps will hold a worship service to celebrate the 225th birthday of the Marine Corps at the Washington National Cathedral on Sunday, Nov. 5. See the release for details. [Link no longer available.]

The next Department of Defense news briefing will be on Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 1:30 p.m. in the Pentagon briefing studio, room 2E781. The briefer will be Kenneth H. Bacon, assistant secretary of Defense for public affairs.

The Combined Federal Campaign is now in progress throughout the Department of Defense.

The department's Legislative Affairs Office maintains a separate Congressional Schedule of Events.
