Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen is traveling. There are no public or media events on his schedule.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Rudy de Leon will speak at a breakfast meeting of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce this morning in El Segundo, Calif. See the advisory for details.

Franklin D. Kramer, assistant secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs, will announce publication of a European strategy report and will discuss Secretary Cohen's forthcoming trip to Europe at a news briefing today at 2 p.m. in the DoD briefing studio, room 2E781. See the advisory for details.

Army Gen. Henry H. Shelton, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, travels to the Balkans and Belgium from Dec. 2 to Dec. 6. See the advisory for details.

The next DoD news briefing will be Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 1:30 p.m. in the DoD briefing studio, room 2E781. The briefer will be Kenneth H. Bacon, assistant secretary of Defense for Public Affairs.

The Combined Federal Campaign is now in progress throughout the Department of Defense.

The department's Legislative Affairs Office maintains a separate Congressional Schedule of Events.
